Tapering before a marathon is so important because your body needs it to get ready for your big day. Time to cut back and get some sleep. Here are some great tips for tapering from Beth Kaufman, a competitive runner since 1998 who has run many racing including the Boston Marathon and Twin Cities 10-Miler.
